Manager Responsibilities

Review recommendations & approve

Approve recommendations

Upon receipt of the Healthy Working Life Plan, your company point of contact must decide if our recommended interventions are reasonable for your worksite. We make every attempt to match recommendations to your company culture so that intervention recommendations can be met with enthusiasm and approval.

If the employee asks questions about the status of the specific recommendation, before you have had a chance to review it, the vocational coach will direct the employee to your designated point of contact while asking the employee to be patient and allow time for the review.

If any equipment or software is recommended, the vocational coach will provide details to allow you and your team to ensure proper fit, safety, and function within your physical and IT space. It is critical that we order the right equipment to help the employee as soon as possible.

If you approve the recommendations:

Simply email or call our coach to let the coach know that the recommendation is approved, and supply a shipping address, if applicable.

If you do not approve the recommendations:

Email or call our coach to let the coach know why the recommendation cannot be approved.

Coaches can often offer alternative ideas that meet everyone's needs.

Any recommendations not approved must be communicated to the employee by your company's point of contact.

Items such as chairs, software, computer equipment, etc. may be provided to the employee to help the employee perform his or her job more comfortably. This equipment must be made available to the employee as long as he or she is employed by your company and as long as it meets the employee’s needs.

If you ever have any questions, call the vocational coach. Our coaches are here for you, too!
