Employee responsibilities

Healthy Working Life® PreDisability is a voluntary program. Employees must agree to participate and be willing to sign an authorization that allows New York Life Group Benefit Solutions to contact the participant's employer to share recommendations and recommend health, wellness, or vocational resources.

Once an employee is referred to the program, a NYL GBS Healthy Working Life vocational coach will conduct a personalized telephonic assessment with the employee at the employee's workstation.

Based on his or her findings, the coach will create a custom-fit recommendation for the employee—what we call the Healthy Working Life Plan.
