Angela started at New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (NYL GBS) in 2017 and has held a variety of roles over the last seven years. She was a claim manager for long-term disability, an analyst in strategy and development, and then a lead analyst in revenue management. She brings all that experience and knowledge to her current role focused on Continuous Improvement (CI).
We talked to Angela and asked her to share a few highlights of the work she’s doing here at New York Life Group Benefit Solutions.
My leaders and mentors – I’ve been lucky to work for amazing people who are inspirational role models and incredibly supportive of my efforts to identify opportunities for growth and learning.
I’m also passionate about Continuous Improvement. CI is about finding better and more efficient ways to work through enabling all our employees to identify and influence opportunities for improvements. I’m passionate about advocating for and enabling our employees to identify improvements and make decisions. CI is strongly aligned to my principles and motivation.
I love working with different teams across our organization and learning more about how each area helps our brokers, clients and customers. It’s especially rewarding to see teams benefit from and find value in the CI deployments. At the same time, I’m learning more about our business through this process and increasing the value I bring to our company and the people we serve.
I am a strong advocate for our frontline employees, who speak with our customers every day. The work I am currently doing empowers our team members to bring their expertise and the voice of the customer into the problem-solving we all do daily.
