We’re listening and taking action to drive benefits ease
Since rolling out myNYLGBS three years ago, we have diligently monitored our customers’ activity and collected their feedback through surveys and testing. We have also tracked industry trends to better understand what employees want and need in a claims portal. By staying informed, we've been able to prioritize updates that directly address evolving employee needs.
Key updates
We are excited to share that the refreshed digital experience is live. Among the enhancements:
- Revamped home dashboard – We rearranged the content so the most common actions are immediately visible, including the ability to check claim status, review site-wide messages, and contact us.
- Ability to opt in to email alerts – In addition to being able to opt in to text alerts, customers can now opt to receive email alerts about their absence claims. These alerts are sent with each new correspondence and drive recipients to myNYLGBS, where they can review the communications. (Future updates will enable email alerts for disability claims.)
- Additional education resources – Educational content has been woven throughout the site, including adding “Learn More” pop-ups, building out claim tips for before and after a claim is filed, and expanding our “Coverage Information” section.
Enhancing benefits education
We understand employees feel confident in their benefit knowledge when they can engage in educational resources tailored to their learning styles. Over the coming months, we will continue to expand our educational tools with items like product flyers and downloadable video transcripts. ready every time you log in to myNYLGBS Employer Reporting.
