Amanda Kuhl is senior vice president and head of the Purchase Experience at New York Life. In this role, Ms. Kuhl is responsible for leading the strategy, modernization, and operations of the end-to-end purchase experience across all of New York Life’s product solutions, including life insurance, long-term care, disability, annuities, and investment solutions.

Ms. Kuhl joined New York Life in 2005 as part of the Actuarial Development Program. She held multiple actuarial roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the pricing of the company’s Retail Life insurance and Institutional Life insurance products, and leading the team responsible for the product management and sales support functions of New York Life’s Retail Life Insurance products.

Most recently, she was the head of Life Insurance Solutions, where she oversaw the updating of our retail life product portfolio, led the launch our new Wealth Plus series of products, and introduced our new term life product portfolio.  She began her career at Mercer HR Consulting.

Ms. Kuhl earned a Bachelor of Science from Boston College. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She also serves as a member of the editorial advisory board for Life Annuity Specialist and is a member of the LIMRA Life Insurance Executive Advisory Board.
