The New York Life Foundation is pleased to announce a change in the Educational Matching Gift Program
that will provide expanded opportunities for employees, agents and retirees to support schools.
Starting January 1, 2007, donations to any eligible educational institution will be considered for
matching gifts — not only schools that donors or their family members are attending or have attended in the past.
The Program
To promote and encourage individual giving, the Foundation matches gifts made by eligible New York Life
agents, employees and retirees (and eligible subsidiaries)
to qualified elementary, secondary and higher educational institutions. Contributions of individual donors are matched up
to a maximum of $3,000 per application period. However Chairman's Council agents and the following senior level
executives: Senior Vice President through Chairman of NYLIC; Executive Vice Presidents and Senior Managing
Directors of NYLIM; and the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of New York Life International
are matched up to $5,000 per application period. In 2007, 649 educational institutions received $990,825 through this Program.
Employees, agents and retirees of New York Life may print the Program's guidelines and application form by
