Company's Seventh Specialized Networking and Training Opportunity for Agents Serving the Chinese Market
NEW YORK, N.Y., April 8, 2002 New York Life Insurance Company announced today that the company is holding its seventh conference for New York Life agents serving the Chinese-American market. The program will be held in Vancouver, Canada on April 18-20, 2002. Training workshops, networking opportunities, performance awards, recognition events and keynote speeches are included in the agenda for the conference. Approximately 500 New York Life agents serving the Chinese-American community have been invited.
"New York Life continues to demonstrate its outstanding dedication to our agents and to the Chinese-American community by providing valuable training opportunities that enhance our agents' ability to assist their clients," says Phil Hildebrand, executive vice president in the Agency Department. "Our company's ongoing involvement in the Chinese-American community is evidence of our appreciation for the cultural differences among our customers."
"Topics for the training sessions will include estate planning, retirement and educational funding under new laws, long-term care insurance and underwriting," says Sally Mak, corporate vice president in the Cultural Marketing Division. "Meetings are being offered in the Chinese dialects of Cantonese and Mandarin, as well as English."
